I work at the intersections of life and loss, caregiving and growth, offering services that meet you where you are—whether you’re saying goodbye to a beloved dog, deepening your relationship with the Divine, preparing an advance directive, or trying to improve your English skills.

Everything here is rooted in deep listening, gentle presence, and a belief in your inner wisdom. My approach blends social work, spiritual care, and real-world experience to support you through whatever change you're facing.

I’m Cinda Gillilan

Portrait of Cinda Gillilan, grief counselor, spiritual director, and animal death doula, smiling gently in a peaceful outdoor setting.

A social worker, educator, spiritual director, and lifelong animal companion. I created Life and Death Services to offer grounded, compassionate support in the spaces that so often go unspoken: grief, dying, spiritual searching, caregiving, and learning.

I believe that in life, and in times of death, it helps to have someone who will truly listen, offer gentle guidance, and hold space with kindness and respect.

This work is deeply personal. I’ve walked with seven beloved dogs from puppyhood to death. I’ve sat with clients at the end of their lives, and I’ve supported families, students, and caregivers through the long in-between of fear, hope, and love.

I know the ache of loss and the joy of connection—and I know how hard it can be to find someone who can hold both.

You don’t have to face transitions alone.
